Awesome job! I want to do the same thing, but maybe put the carpet back in. I was wondering if it ever gets tacky because of sun or heat. I ask this because I think I read somewhere that Herculiner had a tendency to do this.

It doesn't get tacky. If anything when it gets hot it might feel a little more rubbery in thick spots. but that's it. Its working good so far. Nothing is peeling or coming up or anything. Had some things in the cargo area also slide up against that were heavy/ruff, and it held up very good.

Only thing is mud sticks to it like crazy. But its easy to clean it up if you really want to.

Looks good, I think I may do that to my 94. I know it's full of rust and if I don't fix it now I might end up dragging *** on the road.

two screws in the bottom of the actual storage thing, one under the plate around your 4wd shifter if in not mistaken, and two under the plastic plate around your gear shifter (not sure how to get that off, mines a manual)

to get the shifter **** off just pull up on it. you might not be able to get the center console off over the emergency brake handle though, so youll have to loosen the cable

I just left my center console in, just loosened it up to get around it and in it some.

I recently got husky floor liners also. Looks nice inside with everything black and no carpet in.

the liners then self seem kind of thin, but they are warrantied to not crack or anything, so they should serve there purpose.

it will come off, you just have to pull it up as far as it will go. Then it kinda just has to snuggly slide past the the rest.

What i was really talking about is the plate around the shifter itself that i wouldnt know how to get off. I think it just pops off.

Slugger, its been a while since I last posted here. I did the herucliner job myself, it turned out pretty good aside from me having used somewhat thin of a coat, it is peeling a dime sized area in the trunk where I move my marching instrument case in and out not to mention my trombone. Everywhere else its in't peeling a bit.
