looks awsome I did a few truck beds with herculiner and after a few months of abuse it cracked and chiped but these were work trucks, I did my silverado bed with stuff called line x I bought it off ebay it came with a gun and everything for like $150 and that stuff didnt chip at all i did 2 coats and it was a lil less then a 1/4 inch thick but worked awsome so You have inspired me to yank the carpet from my xj and do the same because the ruber floor kit is $200 so maybe ill just spray in the bed liner instead of the ruber floor caz that will keep the moisture against the paint

At normal temps its not that bad. You can feel some heat around the acceleration pedel, and if you touch around that area its warm. but its nothing unbearable.

I'm in the process of doing my interior too ... drowned the XJ about a month or so ago. But no bedliner for me. New carpet & rubber padding. Haven't done a thread yet, but here's what my interior looked like after taking up the carpet & before cleaning up. Most of the dark stuff you see is mud. Very little rust:
After washing out the floor. Yellow circles show the rust spots. For an East Coast Jeep, that's amazing. I expected the worst:
Under the rear seats (just one side. It pretty much looks the same on both sides).
Gonna JB Weld the rust (did that this morning), paint and put my new carpet & padding in.
What's everyone using for floor plugs? Pics?

and my floor plugs are just the regular rubber floor plugs that came with it.

I would like to do this to my jeep but I'm worried about being able to get the seats in/out correctly, including the bench. I would also like to keep my carpet interior so will the thickness of the liner mess up how the carpet sits in the jeep? Any advice?

Great job man, youll basically never have to worry about it rusting out now(on the topside at least). I did the same thing only in the rear cargo area with duplicolor spray on bedliner. Luckily for me, theres almost no rust in the truck at all and none where I bedlined it.

you shouldnt have a problem takin the seats out. They are easy to take out espicailly the back seat. As far as the carpet and herculiner i wouldnt think it would affect the carpert really unless you put a **** load on there but i am not sure..

yea lucky for me theres not a lot of rust underneath. as long as I keep that from rusting (which I am) It shouldn't rot out.

I also just got done doing the bed liner in my cherokee after some intensive floor rebuilding. I used a product called easy liner, comes in a gallon, and includes the activator and a sholts cartrage. So i chose to spray the liner in, and find it does a much better job.
