Default Help with interior dash mod

I have a 96 xj so it has the old style dash. i got a SWEET deal on a 7" flip out dvd/cd player and want to install it but when it flips up im pretty sure the dash is going to be in the way. 2 guys told me to cut out that piece of the dash but im not to sure about that. anyone else have my dash with a 7" flip out? may some help on how to make it work. any suggestions?

youl have to measure. measure the deck, measure the dash components with the bezel removed. that center vent can be deleted if you dont use it.

just got to be creative

X2 and everybody will wonder why your dash looks different. I did this on a 95 bronco about 15 years ago and it looked great, got me extra points at the sound offs too for " creativity ", besides those extended dash kits look like crap. Just my .02
