Quote: Just a heads up you can get ticketed or fail an inspection for them if the inspector or cop is picky. Technically you can't have anything over your headlights in VA.

Gives me a good idea for a cover for my sub though.
i'm sure they block less light than that stupid "angry eye" headlight fad.

I don't doubt it, but both will/can fail an inspection here or get you ticketed. The cop or inspector would have to be a real dick to fail or ticket you over it, but then plenty of both are.

O.o
I know it sounds stupid. I figured they'd bend. I'm more prone to smashing the lights into a tree than I am breaking/chipping the glass with rocks, so I didn't quite see the point of these.

I've looked at using pecan to protect my led light bar. Probably a great way to shield debris

I think this thing will be perfect for what you designed it for!

People are whining saying it won't do anything, not sure why this site has so much negativity. I know we're all entitled to opinions but sometimes you should just keep it to yourself or at least word it better. I mean this guy came up with this on his own to solve a problem he had, then people who didn't put the effort forth come in to bash it and say it won't do anything? A-holes. It may be light aluminum tubing but it will deflect rocks and at least slow down the impact, most likely saving the housing, which was the goal. I think this is awesome, especially with the obsession over "built not bought". This is that on a small scale! Awesome job OP, definitely stealing this idea.
