slapped this in my jeep two weeks ago....

about 40 hrs in building the truss. all made of 3/8 and 1/4 flat with 1 3/4 x.188 tube. ....and my axle tube are 1/2'' thick. BEEF. also tied the truss into the diff cover to spread the load on to a greater area. do notice the diff cover extension bolts to the truss for easy removal. DO NOT weld it on!! i have seen it done.

built 1 inch of lift into my coil buckets....also have 2 inches more separation from my uppers to lower on the diff side than stock.

beefy 3/8 trac bar mount.

i went thru a lot of cutoff wheels.

looks good. damn 3/8" with the 4.5" grinder? i thought i hated life building my bumpers with .250 wall. ended up using the 7" grinder with i think a 9" cut off wheel that made life a little easier. wish the plasmas wasnt so damn pricy.

upper mounts are some old school rustys uca mounts. they designed em just a bit different. ucs and lca mounts are the only things i didnt build on this. i already had too much time into it!!!

i will go throw a tape on my buckets later if you want, but they are right around 7x4 on the top, and are about 2 inches tall on the base. the bump stop plate is made of 3 1/2'' x1/4'' wall tube. i had to make a round cap out of 1/4 plate for it.

i centered the bump stop plate 1 inch further towards the axle to push the axle forward a bit. i also offset the bumpstop plate to the outside of the top, just like the stock ones......makes the unseated part of the coil "float".

you can see here

as far as keeping seated, well im not sure yet!! first time i went wheeling on them, that was one of the thing i forgot to add. so i improvised and used some rope, and tied my coils down.

i decided to use the stock retainers at the last minute before wheeling yesterday. well that lasted about 1/4 trail and one broke....so i went back to the trusty rope!!

i will design some new ones this week and post up some pics.....and will also tey to get better coil bucket pics for ya.

re-read the first paragraph. it seems a lot of you just look at pics instead of reading. you wont learn anything that way.....and its a little annoying having to repeat something that is writen right in front of you.

^^to add to this quote, the truss cannot rip off now. i have done it before, and am preventing it from happening again. the load of the control arms/jeep is now spread across the entire diff cover, and to both sides of the pumpkin, instead of just both sides of the pumpkin.

make sense?

by all means ask questions, give comments, and concerns, but read before you do so.

thanks. i was gonna buy a tnt truss, but i wanted mine to be different since i see so many tnt trusses these days.

i only have about $75 bucks in steel, and $100 in the diff.

with new steering, truss, and axles(f and r), im only about $520 into it.
