front door storage

Went to the JY today and found a little gem. Mid 90's Rangers and B2000's with extended cabs had a cargo net attached to the back of the cab. The U-bracket that holds the net fits perfectly along the bottom of the front door trim on 97-01 Cherokees (not sure of 96 and prior). This gives you what every XJ is missing - front door storage! I fastened the middle of the net up so it wouldn't sag below the door line.

nice work. i have been craving "map pockets" sice day one in my 2000. doesnt look too bad. maybe a new strand of cord would make the net more taught at the top?

Most don't. I know the Laredo's from the early 90's did, but they're the only XJ's I've ever seen with 'em.

i just checked mine, both my 90 pioneer and my 92 laredo. both have pockets.
i remember my 89 limited had them too.
weird, guess you guys with 97+ lose out.

was able to tighten the top cord pretty easily. It just pulls tighter and you lock it in behind the u-bracket. Looks much nicer now.
