Default Floor pan question.

So I'm fixing a rusted out passenger floor pan and have a small spot where the stock jack would go. I bought a full length replacement pan but it doesn't go back past the bulkhead. So my question is how much support does that bulkhead provide ? Can I just leave it out completely to as i don't run a rear seat anyway. I think it'll make repairing that back piece easier as I also need to beef up the front leaf spring perch. I have a RuffStuff frame stiffeners on the way. Here is what I'm talking about.

Thanks,
Mike

If you're not going to put the back seat back in, I would leave it out and build yourself a hide-away box. I would make the base of the box with metal and weld it in. I believe that section you removed is for strengthening purposes and a base for the rear seat. As I state before, Just build the hide-away box and the base will add stability back into the Jeep. I wanted to do that to my cherokee, but I sold it to my neighbor because he blew out the transmission on his dodge truck.

99 thanks for the reply. I've already made a lockable storage/sleeping platform. I'll look into welding a cross brace of some sort back in.
