I am in the process of building basically the same bumper with the exception that I moved mine forward around an inch and a half. I also am dropping it another two inches as I intend to add a receiver mounted winch! I will post some pictures when I finish this weekend, If thats OK! By the way where did you relocate the vacuum canister!

By all means! I put the vacuum canister under the hood. While you don't have to, I'm going to relocate the horn too, It's just kinda dangling there on the driver's side.

Thats what I was thinking, I will probably remove the cruise control which does not work anyway and place the vacuum canister in its place, if it will clear the hood! I don't need the cruise control on this vehicle. As for the horn, nobody pays any attention to it anyhow. I had gone with 2X4X3/16 tube and am planning to put a strip of diamond plate on top as I did drop the bumper below the grill. I think it will look a little cleaner that way!

By the way where did you get the weld-on mounting brackets for the "D" rings? did you fabricate them or buy them? I was going to make them out of 1X3 steel stock however the local steel supplier was out of 1X3 and offered to order a one foot piece for $100. I think most of that is delivery charges from his other mill which is 95 miles away from here. The way that you have yours mounted is fine with me!
