That might work to but I think the sides may overlap the tail gate when I pull the latch shut. Right now there is about an 1/8" of space all around the tail gate.

You can probably find some kind of tapered nylon wedge type thing in the door jamb of a junk yard car, mount them so the tailgate is snug when you shut it then you can pull all you want. Mite cut down on any rattles you may have too.

Well I am getting rattles but thats due to the fuel cans and now the Jack. But its nothing that volume 12 on the stereo wont fix.

I used your idea and bought a mini load binder and modified it to work as my new brake handle. It doesnt look stock but it works damn good!! Its dark out tonight so Ill post a pic of it later

Modified a mini load binder to be my brake handle. Works great, but I think it looks a bit hokey.

Paint it green and blame the government if someone complains.

For the brakes, could you rig up an e-brake handle?

Looks good though. I don't see anything wrong with it at all how it is.

Is it "Violence and forgiveness" or "The Bible or else!"

Did up keep on the trailer bed floor today. Lots of grinding off of rust bubbles and layers of primer and Mil grade zinc paint. Got it as rust free as I could without grinding through the 47 year old floor. Then finished it off with Truck bed liner.

HaHa good interpretations GI, but thats not exactly correct. I wouldn't push my beliefs on someone else, no matter how deeply I disagree with them. Free Will is one of our greatest gifts, and everybody is entitled to exercise theirs. Besides, I'm certainly no preacher or saint.

All it represents is two things I know I can trust and rely on in a dark world. Just a bitter small town plow-boy "clinging to guns and religion." And to date, neither have ever let me down.

Enough about that. Continue with the awesomeness please

I'm envious of the trailer. I just can't find one in good shape local to me for a reasonable price. I'll probably build one from scratch.
