I can relate to having to use a weak welder. I have a cheap Harbor Freight welder just as a starter really as I'm only 16. I like the idea of the easier/safer jack but that seems pretty sketchy to me. Maybe a better quality trailer jack? The jacks that we have on our dump box trailers at work would possibly be a better fit as they are much more sturdy and much easier to lift the weight of a Jeep/truck because they are geared for lifting big heavy trailers that weigh close to if not more than the weight of a Jeep.
