Default Engine Swap Idea ?

Just had an idea here but could you do an engine swap for the new 3.7 I6 Penstar engine that the new wranglers are coming with ? that would give the cherokee a serious boost in power !

No reason you couldn't do it. Anything is possible. It'd take a lot more work than most, though.

Being that its a V6 and not an inline 6, it will fit. Fabbing up mounts, all the electricial and other plumbing will take some time and lots of greenbacks..$$$

You'll miss the low end torque of the 4L. The V6 hits it's peak about 1500 RPMs higher. For all the work it would take I'd do a V8 swap and get more HP and torque.

mopar 340ci isnt too bad... could use a 360 too. or go the bowtie route and use a 350ci 4 bolt main .

making it carburated is the easiest way to go. less bull.
