Wow great job, both of them look really good! How hard would this be for someone new to welding to do?

and by new, I mean this would be my first time welding...anything.

well i didnt weld mine cause i mainly weld heavier stuff with a stick welder so i had a buddy of mine come do it with his mig welder. i would say practice alot on some scrap conduit piping before trying to weld this for a finished product. only because the walls of this tubing are pretty thing and galvanized is easy to burn through either way.

it is surprisingly very sturdy. you might think it would be flimsy because the EMT Conduit is so thin walled but i have a full size spare up there and i have sat on it and it doesnt flex at all. best 60 bucks ive ever spent on my jeep. haha. besides gas of course.

What diameter conduit did you use? And did you use any kind of insert?

I used 1" and 3/4". No inserts. All welded.
