Default Custom Tube Bumper

Here is my Tube bumper that I and a buddy of mine designed. Came out really well and to me is perfect.
Beginning:

And now...After a coat of flat black paint:

Wow, that looks good and appears to be tied into more than the stock bumper mounts, unlike some of the other homemade bumpers. I think it would look better on my XJ though, so you can just send it to me Awesome job

Yes I wanted to tow hooks on there for the time being. not much room for D ring tabs, although I will be welding some on there soon. I believe the tubing is 2" with 1/4" wall thickness. I can't remember exactly. Probably will not hold up that well to alot of damage, but I wanted something considerably light and easy to take on and off. thanks for the compliments guys, I would really like to add some tubing to it in front of the marker lights in the front or something like that, to kind of give it that rock runner look.

ha!
I am thinking of building a matching rear. Nice solid tube design then plate it with a rear stinger coming off the top of the rear bumper and building a tire carrier behind that, then have it swing to the side for access to the hatch.

looks great. I was thinking about buying a bender and making bumpers similar to this. No stinger bar and I was going to go the full width with the bottom bar.
One question, did you cap the ends of the tubes?

can you build one for $200. My buddy has an xj and needs a front bumper. I think this is the perfect bumper for someone who is just wheeling on dirt trails and light mud conditions. Seems like all after market bumpers I have seen are usually some big heavy duty bumpers for rock crawling.

Looks sweet, I can't really see in the pics but I would plate the sides of the uni-body a bit more before using those tow hooks.
