lol yeah michigan winters.......they've been layin down the salt heavy just had a snow storm i try to blast off the salt once a week to keep her rust free.....hard to get modivated to wash her when its 20 degrees

here she is clean.....lol no it is a whole new bumper me and my dad made its made out of a 4x4 squre stock and then a 2x2 piece of stock welded flush agianst one side then a strip of steel connecting the two thats what that angled piece is....the finish is spary on bed liner. total i think it cost me 120 in supplies. the hinges are 3/4" spindles off of a golf cart....as far as makeing them i would have to get back to you on that

from the inside....it dosnt realy block your view
the hinges
these next two pics are of how we renforced the mounts with angle iron ( just to be safe) it is hard to see though
some more info is the trailer hitch reciver is built into along with the 7 pin plug and the two halogen lights are also ( there brighter than my head lights) we foam filled the ends to keep the water out and minor trimming was needed on the plastic end caps beacause the stock bumper is round and this one is not.

Ok ya it was the angle that through me off. lol I like it I was planning on doing almost the same thing I was ganna use a 4x4 square tube Then make the tire carrier swing out off to the side. what side wall did you use on the tubeing?
