I had never seen a grill cut like that before either, so I cut a spare one and ended up liking it. It's something different anyway...

looks good. better approach angle is always nice. I played around with cutting out some of the front crossmember out before to gain a couple inches there. didn't even think of cutting the header panel.

This looks amazing, and I am interested in hearing about any cooling issues. Have you noticed anything yet?

I don't see why it would have any cooling issues though,
The bottom plate between "frame rails" does not come up any higher than the stock plate, so no restriction there.. and the air can flow around the tube. The winch plate is 1/4" thick all the way across, though there is a small gap between the grill and the winch plate.. if you lined up all the cut vertical pieces from the grill on their sides, they probably restricted about the same as my winch plate is now.
So while it seems like a lot it should still have plenty of airflow above and below
