Took the day off and I'm headed to get metal in about an hour. Then back to the Chop Cut Rebuild.

We always pick through the cut off bins at the metal yard when we go, usually get some pretty good deals.

Heck yeah. Got all the 1" pipe for my custom fabbed fender flares and 1/8" plate for the bumpers all at $0.30 per pound. $80.00 in everything today. Rocks!!

Yes. We had some front bumper left over stuff but no rear bumper stuff. Nothing that amounts to much though.

No if you get that junk plastic bumper off it gives a lot more clearance and the tank will show a little but we left it where it is. We covered over the tire well with the Ford bed floor. We actually thought about lining the well with cooler insulation and making a cooler out of it with a door in the bed like the Honda Ridgeliners have but just decided not to. The back end of this thing is extremely sold and I'd feel sorry for the first goober that rearends me. LOL. It would be like hitting a tank. Hehehe!

You'll find that a lot of the research you find will not work with the WJ. It's a whole different ball game. Lots of mock ups with cardboard. LOL. But I'm really excited because everything is coming together perfect so far. If I can assist with any questions or you have any suggestions just holler because you are the only other one I know doing WJ mods like this. Thanks for checking it out and giving me a shout.

Sounds great! And yea these things are tanks. I only asked about the tank because now bigger tiers makes mine unusable outside if a tool box so I've been thinking about cutting it out and shortening the tank mounts so I have more rear end clearance
