Welcome to the forum! In the Fab section where you hit the new tread button on top, on the other side is a search. There are lots of really good builds, and most everyone talks about what material they used and such.

Once again, WELCOME! We love new people, there is tons of info on here and I look forward to seeing your build up here soon

Make sure to make the side step really low to the ground. Not only will it help people get in but the lower they are the farther your rockers are from the ground.

like everyone else said search, not only on this but google "custom jeep bumpers" and see what comes up.

Personal opinion on the side steps are a no no though. you dont need you jeep any wider than it already is, some nice tube guards wielded to the side of you frame protecting you door is one thing, but as soon as they stick out i dont tend to like them.

(besides if someone needs help getting in a jeep they shouldnt be going)

Definitely not a good thing to say there man. Just because someone can't get up in a vehicle doesn't mean they shouldn't be going.

use cardboard as a template. That is the first thing that you do. It's a lot cheaper if you mess up that way. once you get the look you want, and the measurements you need, build away. I like to use 1/4" for everything. It's a bit overkill, but I use my bumpers and sliders constantly. Do not go any less then 1/8' though. Just for a safety factor.
