Built me some hood vents

Imagine what you could do with a 2 electric fan set up and vents. I run 2 stock Aux fans and have no problems with overheating. The Jeep runs at normal temps all day long wheeling with the AC running. I need to get my vents done. I have all the stuff to do them. Even though I don't need them, they look friggin cool. haha!

I have some of the old fan set up but I'm not sure if I have the new fan set up yet. I have to look. My first set up was great BUT I had the TC drop in which changes the angle of the drivetrain. Once I did the SYE, it lifted the trans back up and changed it back to the original angle and the holts from the fan clutch pulley hit the fan. So, I measured and switched to the auxillary fan on that side and it's all good.
Here's a pic of the old set up. I have to look for the new set up.

Your "old" setup is what I have stock, meaning I have 2 fans: radiator & electric (aux). I thought you had 2 aux fans. Doesn't everyone have aux + radiator fans?

Look at the picture again. Where your stock clutch fan would be I had the electric fan in it's place (red grill) I just made it LOOK like it was still stock. I like that my XJ is a sleeper. haha
Here is what I did with the 2nd stock fan set up. I don't have actual pics of what I did. I'll try to get them tomorrow.
I replaced a radiator in my buddy's XJ and kept it. I knew I was going to do something with the fans again so I kept it for measurements since it was already out. Figured it would be easier than pulling everything out on mine. In the pic below I circled the center fan support which I cut and installed it to the stock fan support near the battery with 2 bolts. The measurement is perfect for the 2nd stock fan. Keep your AC stock fan in it's original location. You'll use one stock location and the new location to hold in the other fan. You will have about a 3/4 inch gap between the 2 fans which I used a foam to insulate that area. Near the battery, there will be about 3 inches of radiator showing since the shroud is smaller than the one for the clutch fan. I used the same foam to block that so it doesn't circulate the hot air from the engine compartment and forces the fans to pull all the air across the radiator. Here is a pic with some direction I threw together real quick. Sorry for the 2nd grader art work. It's all I could do with the mouse.

I don't want to take over the thread so I will post a pic of my fan set up for you.......Maybe I'll do a write up with what I did since I get alot of questions on them
Now getting back on subject, These are the hood vents I want to put in mine. Did these in my FIL's black one and they came out awesome. This is a pic of the Jeep I found on another forum. He did an awesome write up, copied it word for word and it worked out great.

Normally, someone would use this opportunity to be a dooosh and tell you to use the search engine. I'm not one of those people. Enjoy the write up. Hope it works out for you.
