Hinges that bolt onto the outside of the door and body would be a no.. atleast not without putting in bracing to the door area and body area where the hinge would mount as the doors weigh too much and the XJ sheet metal is way too thin.. You'd be better (and easier) off just cutting the hinges like everyone else honestly.

And there's write-ups somewhere around here on using TJ mirrors on an XJ.. I remember reading one quite awhile ago

Edit: Probably others out there, but this was one of the first I opened on Google

Quote: I cut a hole in the airbox and used some weatherstripping you can get from lowes to create a watertight seal with the PVC in the airbox. It is routed under the airbox so the air still has to go through the filter. But it works great, I can really tell a difference and you can even hear it sucking some nice clean cool air. And as far as the doors go, I was just going to to get bullet connectors for r/c cars or just see if I could find a connection block and solder the wires. Gonna get that done this weekend. And I'm trying to figure out a way to make the doors easily removable. And how heavy are the doors. I want to be able to take them on and off by myself.

Sir I believe we need a full write up and pictures
