Was wondering what everyone thought about using body panels so redo floor boards. Have got access to a roof off a mid 80s suburban that was cut up in a jaws of life drill. I am thinking that it is probly thicker than stock floor pans and it has beads rolled in it already that would add strength to the cargo area.

 

i used part of my roof and a car hood when i patched up my last xj worked good to and part of an xj hood

 

Don't think you could find much better.

 

I used part of an 80's Suburban door to patch the floor in my 99. The Suburban is actualy better quality material than the xj.

 

Does anyone know a good company that makes floor pans??

 

A sheet of 16 gauge cold rolled steel isn't too expensive.

It really depends on how bad the floors are.
