I know not a true fab but we need a tools section on here.

Ok so I'm looking to get a bender. I really like the JD2 Model 32, for the cost and reputation, also I know a few people with it so i can share dies. For the set up what is a good die for a cage. it will be a hybrid cage, internal down tubes but the main part of the cage witll be exo(i'm tall and don't want to bash my head on the cage) I know I'll need 180*s but don't know what radius or size to get.

Also with the pedestal I dont have a way of bolting it to the floor what are my other options?

I've got mine virtically mounted to a bench, it's easier to work with if you're powering it up............believe it or not, mines powered by a cordless drill.....

Tighter radiouses the better. (2 cents)

 

you have any photos of how its mounted up. on a bench might not be an option either (no garage)

I use a JMR geardrive to power it along with a cordless drill.......and one other secret weapon......if it's self driving, securing it is just a matter of conveniance.....I do prefer vertical bending though.

Just remember, it needs to be self powered........if you're yanking on a handle bending the tube manually, it'll need to be more secure.
