Default before and after ARB bumper

i picked up an ARB bumper from a guy off craigslist a couple days ago and decided to clean it up and re-paint it. it was in decent condition with some dents and scratches. i think i did a pretty good job at reconditioning it. i attached a before and after of the bumper so you all can see.

Nice job, hope you got it for a good price. Those are stout bumpers.

yeah i believe the sun is making it look a little green. it is a semi flat black. i got it for about $300 so i think i got a pretty good deal. i will be putting it on my jeep when i put my lift kit on it, which will hopefully be in the next week or so. i also got a rear tomken bumper which needs a little work also, so i will keep you all posted on that.

I have the same one and love it. I know another guy with a cherokee that has it also. He got in a head on collision with a dodge ram. The dodge was totalled and had to be put on a flat bed tow truck. The jeep drove home.

yeah i used a rattle can unfortunately. i was planning on using a sprayer but got lazy and took the easy way out. i sanded the hell out of it then i put on a coat of gray rustoleum primer. for the second coat i used an extra can of white bobcat paint to "toughen" up the paint. then i continued to sand a little more then i put the final flat black rustoleum coat on it. it took a little bit of time but it was worth it.

Hey whatever works and is easier on the budget...I've used black appliance spray paint on my bumpers for years! It goes on thick (and shiney) with an almost vinyl texture that is really thick and protective. Plus it's like three bucks or so a can to touch up the whole thing as needed
