Beefing up roof to carry racks?
I bought a roof rack of craigslist and when I went to mount it I realized that the roof on my 92' just didnt feel strong enough to carry the rack let alone a spare, extra gas and other various stuff. If I put any pressure on the top in bows in and the bars seem realy flimsy. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to fix it? Thanks

yes gutter mounts would definatly be ur best bet but u can use the factory racks to... i used carage bolts in the factory bars to mount the rack to them and the closer to the rail the more sturdy it will be. i would also recomend putting self tapping screws in the rail on both sides of the bars when you git them where u want them... i can take a pick of my setup if that would help you out?
