Default bedliner?

well my first question is what type of bed liner would be good to use on my rockers and the bottom 1/3rd of the door ( from that break line down) i dont want a really aggresive pattern but i dont just want smooth paint. i will also use this to repaint my tire carrier. and to paint my front bumper once i build it so i has so be able to work good on that too...what do you all think?

If you want smooth alot of the generic brands are like that, like the NAPA brand and stuff are a little on the smoother side, so are the spray on ones in a can.

I use Herculiner if I need to bedline stuff but its extremely coarse.

About as durable as any other roll on, and its way cheaper I think the NAPA stuff I bought was 10 a quart. And yeah its about 75 bucks a gallon or 100 for the full kit of herculiner.

Scuff the clear coat with like 400 grit or it will peel, you can go down to bare metal if you really want to for a slightly better bond.

Rolling it on should be fine, you can use a paint brush to touch up and stuff, but spray will prolly look better, couldn't tell you for sure though since i've never sprayed bedliner.

I sprayed it on from a can. Duplicolor bedliner works really well.

i have one thing to say....prep work is everything, and if you have access to a paint booth then ive heard good things about raptor liner. from what i hear its just about the same thing as line x and is a spray on that comes with a sprayer everything for 100 bucks....kinda steep but may be worth it if its as good as they say

you dont need a paint booth for raptor liner. duplicolor and hurculiner will fad overtime. Prep is key so that I wont flake away. raptor liner is the best DIY liner out there I think. Still have not seen the stuff peel or fad unlike herc and duplicolor.

X2 on Raptor Liner. I used it on my dodge pickup for the lower part of the body and it worked really well and was still good and black 5 years later.
I picked up the kit which comes with 4 quarts and an application gun for $115. I did the lower part of my dodge and still had like 1.5 quarts left.

Mines been on for a little over a year and looks the same as the day I spayed it. I'm sure it may fade but for 7 bucks a can I can bring it back to new on the cheap.

I just used Herculiner this past weekend to do my interior, its realitively inexpensive, $30 a tin from Northern Tool & Equipment, then just picked up a drop pan and a 2" roller.
