Nothin' wrong with the 4.0/231 setup for sure... but I really hope he does that 5.3/hero swap. That would be best for such a hardcore custom build. At the very least a inline 6 stroker.

got some work done.
first, i got bored and had a pair of JK fenders laying around....so.....

they actually fit pretty well i thought, but i won't be skinning this thing. so maybe it'll give the owner some ideas for the future.
a couple more pictures of the cage

i got the front shock mounts figured out and mocked up. it will get tied into the cowl with a big plate and have a second tube that i haven't added yet come off of it and tie into the stiffeners. so, two stiffener ties, 1 cowl tie, and the cross hoop. should be enough i hope.

because of the hoops, he will be getting a different intake setup. and the battery will be relocated to the back of the cab. or on the back half frame.
got the links setup and built for the 3 link up front. upper link will be gusseted more and tied to the frame rails.

Great work for sure. I see what you're thinking with those JK fenders. Would look pretty good if you were going to skin it. Great work with the shock and tire clearances too.
