As part of a trade deal, I'm building a buddies jeep up for him.

its a 93 2 door, auto, previously 2wd xj.

build plans are....
chop the jeep completely in half behind the front seats and build a frame off the back. 3 link front, 4 link rear, cage, 16" airshocks up front, and 18" airshocks in the rear at around 115" WB on 37-38" tires.

axles with be
EB dana 44, 5.38's, spooled, CTMs, 4340 shafts, warn hubs
8.8 with truss, ARB, c clip eliminator, 4340 shafts, and ruffstuff cover.Attachment 319020[/QUOTE]

Damn dude i cant even imagine attempting a project like that. Thats badass. Why did you remove the entire rear end of the jeep instead of just chopping it? Wouldnt it be easier that way because then you wouldnt have to completely tear down the driveline and fuel system and all that? Regardless, im excited to see how this all turns out.

And what kind of tool did you use to cut it in half? Im guessing not an angle grinder lol.

Its just easier to get the travel, WB, and departure angle with a full backhalf.

Tossed the rear wheels on and mounted it to the axle. Dont mind the mtrs up front.
