Default DECEMBER COTM

This is our baby (Ours would be myself and my 16 year old daughter) We both have put our love in to her so far. I get the daughter out there working on things with me when ever I can get her out there and she is the one that is my copilot on every trip out. Soon to come is a XJ for her that we will be building up.
Here is what has been done so far:

5" SkyJacker lift
Trimmed out front and rear
Garden edging wheel flairs
Bradded extended SkyJacker brake lines
33X12.50X15
D30 8.25 29spl
Spartan locker in front axle
Cheap light bare with cheap lights
OBA with 6 gallon tank
Custom front bumper designed to completely in case a winch (coming in a month)
After market 3/16" gas skid
Things to come soon and on the wish list:
Rocker replacements
Rear bumper with swing out tire carrier
Roof rack
Rear cargo area rack
Long arm set up
8000 lbs winch
Half doors
8.8 rear
4.56gears
4.7 stroker
Maybe 35" tires

Default FathersNsons COTM December 2011

The guys have requested I enter the FathersNsons XJ for December. Several years ago my health became very challenging and I was forced to go on disability. At that time this XJ took on a mission of its own.

A group of teenage guys started to hang out in our garage (mostly guys without plugged in fathers in their lives). None of them really had any experience in mechanics or even simple tool usage. Starting with the simplest, like learning to put the drill in a forward speed and explaining the difference between a cold chisel & a screw driver were things we take for granted yet many young men have never been exposed too. They now work to build/clean/& shine this XJ between car cruses, parades, and the off road events they find to enter.

While laughing they get to drive off road. They learn to spot and communicate with one another along with some simple mechanics, about tools and their proper usage. More importantly at times as I sit on my stool we discuss questions they ask, the many topics all teenager's have wondered about life.

At the events they attend they also speak with dad's and promote the importance of fathers spending quality time with their sons to many visitors & participants.

1994 Cherokee, 4-door
Engine: 4.0L Straight 6
Transmission: Automatic w/HD Transmission Cooler
Axles Front Detroit True Trac & Rear: Ford 8.8 w/ Detroit Locker
Suspension: 4" Skyjacker Suspension Lift
Tires: 32x11.5x15" BFGMud
Recovery: 9500lb Mile Marker Winch, HiJack, Shovel/Ax, Ultimate Air Tank,
Armor: Warn Rear bumper w/tire mount, Warn Sliders, Custom Tube Flat Fenders, Farm/Frnt bumper,
Rockhard Safety Cage, & CargoNet, TUFFY center console lock box, COBRA in dash CB
OTHER: 4 Custom Soft Doors, ARB Snorkel, Safari Roof Rack
Herculined Interior, KC lights, Hide-a-way 10-Outlet Strobe Kit

Upcoming Mods
1) Cowl Hood at Custom paint shop with Pins
2) Two new matching front leather racing seats with harnesses are waiting in the garage. They will be added this winter as they figure out the best way to mount them.

Wishful Plans for Future Mods
The guys are getting older, braver and more experienced, they now are learning the capabilities of the build and what upgrades are needed as they take on larger obstacles. Their next goal is to add the necessary upgrades that include an 8" BDS-Long-Arm or similar system & a set of 35's for height.
