Default Your "other" wheeler?

OK, so don't hate me just yet! No need for the Calvary..... I'm just curious to see if any of you have another wheeler other than your Jeeps. This idea came from the "other vehicle thread" and a few other random threads I've read here.

I myself, honestly bought my 01 Cherokee with the intentions of mild off road use with the ability to tow my Samurai. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my Cherokee! I just don't want to tear it up. I bought it 5 years ago and it had low miles and was loaded with options. Its the nicest vehicle I've owned. (and its been quite a few) I can't bring myself (yet) to beat on it. I've got the same O'l, same O'l plans for it. 3" lift, 30-31" tires... Keeping it mild as possible though.

Trust me, it gets used. Just not beat on.

With that being said, my Cherokee gets the milder stuff this is my "Other" wheeler.... It gets ridden a little harder!

My 87 Tin Top Suzuki Samurai. I got it stock, as stock can be.
How it started

Then. . . The 6" soa lift and 31" ltbs

And then . . .

And now, as it sits at a friends house under its 3rd build. Almost done!
Also now with the 34" ltbs on it.

I may end up making a build thread here depending on how this goes. Its really come a long ways.

Well, thats my other wheeler. Do any of you have one?

i want a sammi so freakin bad it's unreal. i wish i could just find a frame and tub with a clear title...

i would put a full toyota drivetrain in it, i already have the axles, transmission, and transfer case. i would just need to pick up a 22r. if i don't soon find a 2 door XJ that's priced right, i will be on the hunt for a sammi tub/frame.

i love the size of them, heck a stock one is the same size as a polaris ranger...

Man, if you lived near me I'm sure you would own one by now. They are everywhere! Some running, some not so much. Between myself and 3 friends we collectively have 9 of them. I absolutely love mine.

Also my neighbor has a two door XJ for sale if interested. I know it may be kinda far but if interested just lmk.

I use to have a sammi. Hated the fact it was equipped with a carburator.
Had to baby sit the dang thing on cold mornings and no the ol" stick on the pedal didint work lol
I did like wheeling with it. Was fun to drive.

Now I'm starting to miss it.

That sucks man. I've honestly NEVER had a single problem out of my carb., even on my side. Now when I put the cam in, it did lope pretty hard and I did bump the miming up a wee bit. That solved the issue (if you'd call it that) with mine.
As far as cold mornings, even before I built the motor it would run great. Just took a bit to get to operating temp. I changed the tstat and that helped.

I absolutely love to drive and wheel mine! I won't be driving it much (on the road) after this build gets done.

Thanks, and you have no idea how hard I was just laughing. The nickname that was given to that YJ was "Black Death" lol, apparently it was a more fitting name then I originally thought.

My other wheelers....actual my main wheelers are both out of commission right now.

1. 1972 chevy K5 Blazer. last of the first gens, rollbar/half cage, 2in lift, 35's, winch. Gotta get a new motor for it sometime (really want to go buy a wrecked 4x4 chevy with a ls and swap over but that'd cost a bit) It started with me a few years ago with the lift, a crapload of rust, no lights, and bald 33's.

put the winch on it

bought some 35's from a buddy who went to 38's

and thats basically how she sits now while waiting on another 350 to be dropped in. Future plans include upping the lift to 4in, adding a 2in body lift, rewiring it, adding some paint, milspec 37's w/ or w/out the humvee wheels, full cage, welded rear, tbi swap, and storage.

more pics-
