I'm typically a speedfreak. The only 4x4's I've had are:

94 Z71 - w/ BFG-AT's and stock suspension Only mods were exhaust. Ended up selling it and bought a 96 Z28.
98 Tacoma - w/3" body and 3" suspension lift on 35" SS TSL's. Some @$$hole cut me off and I ran into a ditch and rolled it three times.
02 Ranger Edge - Completely stock.
96 XJ 2 door - It's completely stock for now. It's my daily driver so I need it around.

Boo to Broncos, but FJ40s are awesome.

And they don't depreciate, either. I took a pass on a perfect '69 FJ40 for $3000 in 1992. I mean the thing was mint. I was looking at a 'cruiser and a couple 4runners when I found the jeep; What turned me to the jeep was the fact that 'cruisers take a truck load of money to maintain, and 4runners have a few terminal problems. First, the ones you can afford have the nasty 3.0 motor that has no power and blows head gaskets all the time, and the bad rear window will eventually make the car not worth fixing.

I don't think they built anything but the FJ60 in '86.

Wife's 97 S10 blazer.. Pros: It gets her around. Con: spent alot of time and $$ fixing it, as soon as its paid off I am gonna sell it and look at getting her a Jeep.

I grew up riding in an 81 4wd Toyota Pickup.. besides having to replace the trans a couple of times it was a good pickup. Even after it was rolled into a ditch full of water.

How about a dozen hmmwvs, half a dozen dueuces, and a 5ton.. Not really mine but after 8 yrs of driving and working on them they sure felt like mine.
My 5ton Crane/Wrecker... (and just for the record, I hate linking pics to this site, they never seem to work and I have never had so much trouble.)

First is my 91 Renegade. Second is my 93 K1500. Lots of extras on each, and very fun to wheel.
