Default Think I'm in love.

Been driving a 03 Audi A6 for the past 3 days back and for from work and errands.
I almost wanna get one as a DD and keep the jeep as a weekend warrior.

This morning I had a foot of snow in my driveway and this thing just drove out of it with NP I was like YEEEESSSS!!!!

Anybody else have these kind of cars?

Yea.. The German car bug bit me.

RE-badged Vee-dub, but with a bit better technology/interior?

Good cars, parts are expensive, though.

I dunno what motor is in that car, but their 1.8T is known as a "sludge" motor.

I forgot the motor size but it's a V6 non turbo but it flys.
Now I know why people drive them like jack asses lol
Automatic with the standard shift I use a lot. Got a kick *** stereo heated seats EVERYTHING!
Oh and I love the AWD it owns on snowy roads.

But yea parts are super expensive.
Replaced a EVAP solenoid freaking thing was $110 from Audi lol

I'm basically trying to get some mileage on it so I can get it to past emissions.

I loved playing with my AWD Eclipse in the snow. I'd run a bit more than stock boost, just enough power to really make the rear LSD overcome the fronts tendency to plow. Thing was a blast.

However, if I ran into thick snow that was much higher than the front bumper, it still had trouble. Thats where the Jeep's ground clearance owns all.

Ive had a bunch of DSM's(Talons,Eclipse) all 1stgen.Nothing and I mean nothing will catch an AWD Talon with bridgestone blizzacks in the snow.(maby a snowmobile). They still stop and corner like a sports car in 10" of snow.I miss em...I got to fat to fit in em.

I know by working on these types of cars they seem to be over engineered but when you drive a good one you know why.

Sweet thanks. I have a 03 A6 I'm pulling the motor from right now. What a pain in the *** this thing is LOL!!!
I aways thought it was funny when ever I do a timing belt on these I gotta pull the nose forward. it's actually kinda cool how they thought of it.

That would be called "Service Mode"

Pulling just about any transversely mounted AWD motor is a pain.

The cars tend to make it worth the hassle, though. I'm glad I never had to pull my motor. But I wasn't too far off before I sold it.
