S10 with cherokee SAS
This is my next build, It' a 87 S10 with a chevy 350 swap already complete. I'm going to swap in a D30 from my parts cherokee and a 8.8 I was going to swap into my old cherokee. We did the same swap to my buddies 97 blazer and came out great, so now it's my turn. Here's a pick of my buddie's blazer we did and then some pics of my truck.

Not bad, I think you buddy should cut the back off the Blazer. Always thought it would look good but never had seen anyone chop one..
Your should also be a great project. I've noticed over the last few years more and more S-10's with the SAS conversion.

You got some good work going on with the axle swaps but I would look into up grading and using a D44. Unless you just want to go with what you already got. The HP D30 is strong but a 350 has a lot of horsepower depending on how you built it.

I've debated the axle problem for a while and I'm going with the D30 for a couple reasons. First I have the 8.8 and the D30 in stock and second I have all the steering parts for the D30 and it's a bolt up with the Astro steering box so to keep this build from stretching into next year i'm gonna keep it simple and do the axle upgrade next year when I get tired of changing axles.

Thanks True Blue, I've been planning this build for a few years now. I got the D30 and all the steering out of the parts jeep today so I can start doing some mock up measurements.

Even though I love the fullsize stuff, they can't hang with the short wheelbase stuff on these tight W.V. trails. I'm only using the s10 because I can have the best of both worlds. Small block chevy, full frame and xj axles.

I used to have a 89 S10 2WD, with a LT1/LT4 intake and a T56. Lifted with 32's Was awesome.

Oh I understand, I can't use fullsize axles in W.V. because we got a cover the whole tire law. I would never be able to get through inspection with 67in axles, or it would definatly have a 14 bolt and a D60.

I have few updates, I've got the new intake and throttle body on the truck. I have the 2.8 harness out and ready to put the new 4.3 harness in. Hears the mess I started with (minus holley carb).
The old butchered up harness is out.
The mess I have in the cab now.
New intake and throttle body.
Intake on motor and ready to rewire.
