Anything I should have an eye open 4. Looking to get a 2000, auto, 6 cyl. looking for a stock one with descent miles on it no more then 115,000. This rig will be for my sister. Any buyer info for me or anything to look for....THANKS

 

i dont know if im too late, but check the exhaust manifold...up until 2003, the exhaust manifolds dont hold up really well....

also, if its a sahara, look and see if its got a dana 44 in the rear or the 35...altho, no matter what, a 2000 TJ will still have a 30 front axle...

check under the carpet at the floor boards...look for any rust...

those are the biggest things id look for....besides all the regular stuff like oil from the valve cover gasket, or head gasket....look for any wet spots on the bottom of the differentials....that could mean leaking diff cover gasket..but stuff like that im sure you know

Thanks buddy, Just picked one up from wisconsin yesterday. Jeep was for my sister its bone stock with 97000 miles on it white sahara everything was straight on it just a rear pinion seal leak, nothing to serious and it needs a cat but hey cant complain it was a good deal. Thanks for the info on the manifold tho didnt know that
