Default New tow rig!!!! what do you have for a tow rig?

Well sadly I am down 1 out of 2 89 jeep XJs my 2 wheel drive Lerado is now gone due to tradding it in for over twice what I paid for it, for a 02 Chevy silverado4x4 extended cab 2500 with 6.0 gas motor It was a great deal with what they gave me for my cherokee and they paid off my dakota ($2700) that i get to keep, for a total pay off of $9400. Im excited i dont know if i can keep gas in her she drinks it faster than i can put it in, lol but hey iv steped up in the world. Although i would rather of had a dodge cummins (they didn't have any) so well there it is just thought I would share that.

sounds like an ok deal to me. hope that the interest isnt too bad. those 6.0 litres are great engines will tow anything.

as far as my tow rig i have an 2004 f150 5.4L. i got a 2" leveling kit volant closed box cold air intake banks exhaust and an edge tuner. it pulls my heep with no problem lol

sounds pretty sweet the interest isnt bad at all 7.5%. the silverado is compleatly stock side steps may be aftermarket but likely add on from dealer. iv heard that the 5.4 liters had head probs (spitting out spark plugs?) any probs with yours?

I use an 01' durango for towing my XJ in emergencies. with a 1800lb trailer and the 3500lb jeep it actually tows nice. i stay in the 3-4k rpm when going threw hills. but it does the job!

i have also towed an xj with my xj and its not that bad either.

Ive got an 06 dodge w/ the cummins. 4.5" lift and 35's. It towed anything before i lifted it. Now it tows almost anything. Can't beat the power to mpg ratio of the cummins.

No its a tuff country 5.5 inch kit no body lift! its broke to all hell right now wheel fell off diff case is brok and knuckle is busted. i took the cv shaft out after it fell apart and tried to drive home (didnt work out so well) the unitized hub bearing fell apart and wheel fell off and the ears for the caliper mount broke when bearing gave up! so im not sure if im gonna just fix it all and sell it or I may stick the 3/4 ton axles i have in as solid axle swap (not so sure im up to the job). DECISIONS DECISIONS
