I know Heel's Creak makes some of the best lifts for those old waggys..
Just ask when your looking for something I'm sure some one can find you a store that sells it..

I like this front end, seems rugged to me. To me this is wagoneer like :P Station wagon meets truck, the later 70's AMC ones look more station wagon like. I know you really cant judge a book by its cover, especially if it has a 360 V8 in it :P
I guess I am just hick-ish and like my old trucks...

Surfing Craigslist the other day I came across another 65 Jeep Wagoneer...
The Engine is a AMC v8 Vigilante but other then that and the colors its the same... The only catch is he wants to leep the Grill and hubs... Talk about timing...
Anywho thought I should keep you all updated, Thank you nick_n_ii for the other site Its been a big help!

Not sure if the "early" and "late" AMC V8s share the same mounts, but I'd probably swap for a good 401 build and store the six in original condition.
As for the body, it's actually in really good shape from what I can see. I'd keep it as original and straight as possible and go for a resto-mod look. Maybe add period-style rims and a mild lift to get it off the ground a bit more, but nothing too drastic.
That paint color is not one I've seen often on Wagoneers, but then I haven't seen many that old on the road, either!
