I still think those cars a big POS's but that would probably be pretty fun if you can keep the tires hooked up. I think the front end would have problems getting traction too. I drove a buddies V6 fiero a couple times and the front end was light enough that even the little wimpy V6 would lift enough to make the front tires slide around corners, it could be tricky trying to turn with heavy throttle.

I absolutely love the Pontiac Fiero, and the DMC Delorean two favorite vehicles ever made, just not the motors. I am guessing 1987 GT does not seem to have the 88 Lotus suspensions. Also you can put any motor you want in those things. Theses are Pontiac's version of the Fox Body. There is a guy on youtube with a 454. Personally I would stick with fuel injected but whatever. Also there fully fiberglass they weigh around 2600lbs stock. The Ford Fox body was 3200lbs stock. If I were to have one I would use the LT1 over the LS1 again personal preference. There are always a bunch for sale in NJ, but there either way over priced or destroyed.

Oh man. A fastback GT Fiero with a V8 would be tons of fun.

I had an 86 notchback and did some truly silly things in it. People often mistook it for a Ferrari from afar.
