hello to all.....i have an 84 cj7 that needs a transmisson. I was considering going with the t18/dana 300 combo but the adapter kit is $500 and im running short on money. i just heard about an independent transfer case and that they are adaptable to any transmission without an adapter kit because it has a small drive shaft that connects the two. My question is, how strong are these independent transfer cases and what are the ratios like. also how does the driveshaft connect the two? I need something strong because the jeep is on 40's and i can get a t18 from a friend.
