Honda fit vs. toyota yaris
So me and the gf went shopping for a car for her today. Shes looking for something 05 or newer and shes stuck between either a honda fit or a toyota yaris (3 door). I was just wondering if anyone has any veiws or opinions on the 2 to help decide on which one to get her. Any info helps.

I know top gear seemed to like the Honda. But i have no personal experience with either.

i think the fit is great, but i liked the yaris too. a few years back my wife wanted a small car and i test drove them both. fit seemed a bit more agile though.

I would go with a toyota. Thats mostly what we drive. My last tacoma had 288+ k on the odometer without any issues other than routine maintenance, my wifes rav4 has 110 k on it and no issues either. Hondas arent as reliable as a yota imo. I had a buddy that bought an 03 civic in 05 with 37k and by 80k we were doing a head gasket on it, then another friend had an 02 accord that need the trans rebuilt after 150k. i have a co worker with a corolla that has 350k on it and still runs great, said the only problems he's had was that its been through 2 clutches and starters in that many miles. That small nissan they make now (i think its a versa?) is supposed to be a decent car and cheaper than the fit and the yaris

Like I stated I WORKED for Toyota... The yaris is garbage. It's made cheaply unlike the Tacoma that is well built. Yaris's eat motors and trannys, they fall apart and always have a squeak in the dash that is impossible to find..
