I would think it wouldn't have a problem,I read somewhere that the 4.3 has more power than the Jeep 4.0

 

Yea the vortec 4.3 is a 350 shy a couple pistons.

 

I have driven a blazer with the 4.3 vortec and let me tell you it moved out the motor was so powerful that they put it in some of the chevy 1500's at the time great motor

Looks good, so whats the final specs on it?

ie: lift, tires, gears, locked??

 

9 in of lift, D30hp front D44 rear, long arm, 410's, factory LSD in rear and 35/10.50 TSL Radials.

 

I like the idea of the swap, but I would have personally also put in a V8 as well.

The HP rating of the Vortec 4.3L is approx 190hp for the 4wd models of the S-10/Blazer - S15/Jimmy, which is the same for the HO 4.0L.. Do not remember the RPM of peak HP tho.

The 4.3L is stiff available in the full size.. and the 4.3L in the full size is rated at approx. 210hp.
