Explorer 5.0 question

Explorer 5.0 question
I have a 97 mountaineer ( explorer ) with the 5.0 in it and
lately ive been putting ALOT of oil in it.
I dont see any leaking, and it dosent seem to be burning
any.... or is it? any idea?

My mom had a '99 5.0 explorer that had the same symptoms. Check behind the intake manifold next to the firewall. What was happening to hers was an combo of valve cover gaskets and intake valley seal leaking. It was dripping on the cat that's right below that area and burning off before it could hit the ground.
