Anyone else off-road with one of these front-wheel-drive beasts?! I had an all brown 1980 citation 6 cl. fwd and it handled the mud/sand/hills/churchparkinglot like no other. miss that ol girl.

 

Nope, but in high school a buddy and I took his '84 yota Tercell Wagon (nicknamed it the anti-christ) in places you'd never think possible in the mountains near Colorado Springs :-)

My '84 Subaru wagon with low range was pretty awesome off-road. 14" tires and all.

 

Yeh Subarus do very well. Me and a buddy would always take his 91 legacy out. was always amazed at what it could handle

 

My buddy had an 80 Citation in HS...back in like 1990 oh my god was it a POS but we made that thing go places that nobody should ever think of going with a car...

 

ha pos for sure...mine would die for no reason in a fast food drive through.

 

it is a interesting car.. they had a sport model called the x-11

Had a lot of fun in highschool with my 71 bug.

 

That was our 1st car when we got married 18 years ago. 2.8 v6, yes it did go everywhere, once it became the extra car I used it to go hunting all the time. Never got stuck with it, heh. Oh yeah, I remember the sporty x-11, it had a cowl hood from the factory. The motor in that car I believe also ended up in the early Z24 Cavaliers.

 

ha just watched the youtube commercial of it from the 80's. towing a boat with the back tires off... priceless.

 

and it wasnt a bad car, rather quick for what it was, i worked at a chevy dealer back then and had one for a demo!
