Kind of think it's ridiculous that they're reimbursing people for depreciating value. There's no way to calculate exactly how much each vehicle lost in value due to these recalls.

The unintended acceleration was actually due to driver error in most cases. I can't believe they're spending 1.1 billion dollars for this.

Toyota is worth half a trillion and that's just Toyota, not their parent company and their other subsidiaries. This is a drop in the hat for them and not all that uncommon.
Hell, Kia right now has a recall for misprinted fuel economy estimates and they're giving their customers gas cards for like $500 a year in compensation and they're nowhere near the size of Toyota.

The scarey part anything drive by wire can do a unintended acceleration i had a Lincoln ls do it on me before.A lot of Toyota's was driver error but some was really the car,2 of the cars toyota fixed did it again on their own after the recall repairs.
