I don't have a clue besides maybe a generator considering it has a fuel and electrical hook up.

Dunno what an "S250" is but "communications shelter" sounds like what I was thinking. Canadian Forces moves these trucks from time to time with all kinds of goodies in the back, be it module that sits in the bed or replaces the bed outright. Transporter, ambulance, and comms hut with a generator of its own.

It will be a prefect brush truck its a old truck so everything is real basic on it less things to go wrong.Being its a m1028 it might even have a front posi it was a option for it.The np208 isn't a bad t case has a low ratio of 2.61,Just keep the tires under a 37 it will run a long time as it is now.

The tires will deff stay under a 37 lol. I might try to talk them in to buying 33's for it. Why under a 37? A 60/14 combo is good for 44's lol, maybe the transfer case/tranny?

The np208 is only good tell 38s before it breaks,Its a aluminum case chain driven case.If you do break it its easy to get a replacement one or swap in a np205.

If it was to break, they would want to swap in the same case just because thats the way they are.

Well got some sanding knocked out. Still have a lot left to go though. We'll be test fitting the tank and pump in the up coming weeks to check fitness and to see what kind of fabbing I'm going to need to do.

I mean don't get me wrong its not a bad case in a normal truck they last a long time.Pretty much most gm trucks 81-87 used it unless its a 1ton and a lot of them are still on the roads today.I broke one once but it was from a log kicked up and smacked the case breaking the housing.Shockingly it lived though the 15 mile drive home dry lol.

Awesome. I believe I could drive my jeep like that. Lol

No work today as we are right in the middle of Turkey Shoot season at the FD. My favorite time of year. Plus I'm at work. After this coming wed we can get back started. I just want to get to fabbing for this beast.

I actually have a shifter **** from a CJ I picked up at the local annual Jeep show. I'm gonna chop the stock lever and weld the **** to it instead. A **** makes much more sense to me than the goofy stock lever.

Been doing a lot of work to the truck lately. Went and picked up a few sheets of 360 grit and went to town with a few other firemen. Got 95% of the truck wet sanded smooth. I need to finish the door jambs and the grill and then I have to go over the entire truck with scotch brite pads and soap. The it'll be washed and taken to the body shop for paint.

Also removed the bench seat, belts and buckles, and the tie-down on the bed of the truck and a few other minor things. Hopefully it'll be ready for paint come this weekend.

I'm going to bedline the interior floor and the bed.

Also had to replace a battery as some moron hooked the jump box up wrong and blowed the battery up. Damn acid ate through the battery tray so i'll have to make a new one.

Another Update:

Hopefully I'll have the truck ready for paint by this monday. Would be sooner but I only get a few hours each day and I have no help.

Did some removal today. Tail lights, front signal/marker lights, bezels, grille, power plug and other military thing on the front... Also removed the door panels and plastic step guar things from the cab. All that is left to remove is the brush guard and the seat belts.

Hopefully get the guard and belts off tomorrow along with finishing the sanding and starting the scuffing process.

Also spent 6 hours researching lights and sirens, winches, and multiple accessories for the truck. Made a list to present to the dept for purchase approval after the chief narrows down the list.

Also found a couple surprises behind the grille. Glad it's cold out...
