I have used Google and cannot seem to find an answer to my question. The picture attached is a Schrader valve attached to a fuel filter obviously but can the valve be left permanently installed? I have a new to me truck that I think is having a fuel delivery issue and want to check pressure just wondering if it safe to leave the valve.

It is all good, that is a downloaded picture not my truck. I did swap my fuel filter but it didn't cure the issue. I have seen fabricated housings that temporarily install in place of the fuel filter and the schrader valve pictured. That valve looks like it will be in the way of the air cleaner if installed up top so the picture is what mine will look like when I can. My back is in knots after work last week and I changed the oil and installed a hitch on my DD Saturday before it made me tap out. Now I have to check my filter for that made in China label too, haha.

My truck is a GM, the picture is from Google. I was using as a representation for mine eventually. If you zoom in on that picture, it surely does say "Made in China" on it.
