Default 00 Mitsubishi eclipse maf

Hey guys, working on the girls car today, and I'm leaning towards maf as being the culprit. Cel came on for a p0300 random mult misfire, no other codes. The car will start fine, run fine, untill about 20 minutes into the drive, it will stumble and hesitate horrificly after a stop, or under a decently high load. It has stalled out completely a few times, I cleaned it about a month ago with maf cleaner, ran fine, had a thermostat issue, which ended up with a water pump replacement as well, and now were back to the same ol shtick. What motor is cold I can start vehicle with the mass airflow plugged up and the vehicle will run fine until about that 20 minute mark and then it will start to hesitate and stumble. However if while running and warm and plug the mass airflow, it will run fine again. The mass airflow is 185 from the store so I would really like to make sure that is the issue. Thanks in advance

Check your wiring harness for a breakdown in the insulation allowing a transient short. I've seen this in an '01 Chrysler T&C, a '96 Talon and just helped someone diagnosis the same problem in a '97 Eclipse

It's alright, turns out the shop who did the timing belt and water pump actually mis timed it, and caused a p/s leak, leading to belt failure, which got between the cs and timing belt, causing the interference motor to live up to its name

Ouch. My '96 Talon lost a timing belt at the beginning of June. I assumed the interference and decided to part it out. That's what led me to buy my XJ.
