Default ZJ Steering Rod

Just replace all my tie rod on My Zj jeep. I use to get some vibration when i would hit a bump at highway speeds and it would cause my whole car to shake. I replace both steering rods on my passenger side and both tie rods on the driver side. it was a little expensive from the dealership. spent little over 400 bucks just on steering rods and tie rods and i didn't even get the shock absorber because mine still seems fine.

car has 150,000 miles and still going strong.

Good job. You saved quite a bit by doing it yourself.

How do i know if my shock for my steering rod is bad? its not leaking but when i push in the shock it doesn't move up, it just stays in place.

it's only a dampener, it shouldn't extend back out, otherwise it will try to push your steering to the left.

now if you were to push it in very easily with no absorption, then it would be bad.

make sure you check your alignment now with the new tie rod ends installed.
