Default zj stalling problem

hi, i have a 95 limited awd with a 5.2 and automatic tranny. Im having trouble with a stalling issue. the things runs and drives great. idles great in park. the problem arises when you are at a stop or pulling into a parking spot a give it a short tap of gas and let off. the problem also happens if you are in gear and have your foot on brake and give it a fast tap and let off kinda like power braking (no im not into this just trying to recreate the issue and found this). any help is appreciated thanks in advance.

Had a similar issue with my sons, intermittant stalling, eventually a no start, turned out to be the crank position sensor, pain in the **** to change, first CPS I installed got the Jeep running but it was running really bad, backfiring etc, changed to a different brand CPS and the thing now runs great, the first one I installed was a BWD brand purchased from Advanced Auto Parts, the second one was purchased from O-reilys, dont remember the brand now, but as soon as i installed it, the Jeep cranked and runs great..

Hope this helps.

Its your IAC, pull off throttle body and remove it, clean with brake cleaner or carb cleaner that will fix it. I had the same problem

Code 12 is loss of battery power, it should clear after 50 starts. It sounds like the IAC motor is getting lazy, I would replace it instead of going through the hassle of removing it and cleaning it, just to have the same problem in a few weeks. NAPA will have it for around 50 bucks.

well pulled it off to clean it and it was clean , clean it and hole anyway but im leaning towards maybe an alternator problem, i went out to start it , started kinda hard, cel came on , pulled code again and got 41 this time plus 12 and 55, 41 is charging system. so i turned everything on ac, lights, radio and problem was worse and volts dropped

I just went through the code 12 41 55 blues last week, a new alternator took care of the problem. The brushes can be replaced, but good luck on finding them. Mine were worn out and causing the problem, but a new (reman) alternator is easier and better in the long run.

This happened to my Ram with a 5.9. Turns out that my battery was getting tired and that causes the IAC to react slower than it should. Of course in my case, I had slow cranking as well. As soon as I put a good battery in the truck, the problem was gone.
