Remove the steering column covers and take a look at the electrical connector on the bottom of the ignition switch, the accessory circuit wire make be fried and the terminal on the ignition switch may be burnt. There was a Chrysler TSB in the 1996 time frame that adressed the issue that you're having. The fix was to replace part of the ignition switch harness (dealer will have it) and the switch if the terminal was fried. An easy way to check this without removing the covers is to look at the bottom of the lower cover, if there is a distorted melted spot in the plastic, you just found the problem. But it's not a bad idea just to remove the cover and check the wiring out.

ok, here's yet ANOTHER electrical issue for those of you who know conciderably more than I.

Yesterday I installed some aftermarket back-up lights on my 98 GC Laredo. I checked the lights after hooking up the passenger side, all was good. I hooked up the driver side, NOW I have NO reverse lights AT ALL, as well as NO turn signals, NO rear wiper and the "info center" above the rearview mirror also quit working.

I checked ALL the fuses in the kick panel as well as ALL the fuses in the power distribution box under hood.

I also changed a couple of the relays (kick pnel and PDB).

I just don't understand how all these can go out at the same time, how are they all related circuit-wise?

ANY and all thoughts and ideas are GREATLY appreciated
