Hey all
I want to get rid of my air conditioner. I did it on my old '79 Ford Ranger years ago and it was a cake walk. The jeeps' a bit different. Obviously I need to discharge the freon and all that good stuff. I know...safety first!
My question is this..If I do this I'm going to need a shorter serpentine belt. What size would fit once I remove the compressor? Can I remove the mounting bracket as well or am I going to have to fit another idle wheel there? Has anybody else done this? I've only used it once since I've had it. I don't really need it so it's gotta go. Besides, it's making it a pain in the keester to get at the spark plug buried behind it...even with the extension.
Any and all ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
