Month or so back i finally found a clean hatch for my 98 ZJ project. The gent had many more body parts available... so i bought it all and picked up the rest of it last night.
Now, the doors and hood you see in the pic came from a 96 Limited, so i want to install these on my Wife's 93 Limited as her doors have a bit of rust starting at the lower inner lips where they tend to start.
From what i understand the doors will be an easy swap to the 93. However, i want to swap her original 93 cladding to the 96 doors so it all matches when i get it painted for her.
How do i do this?

they are held on with adhesive, so be very gentle taking them off so they don't get damaged to put them on the other doors you will need some 3m heavy duty spray glue

Hey John, nice find. From the '97 ZJ FSM it states:
Removal-Front Door:
1)Using a trim stick, gently lift up from bottom of cladding. Unsnap from retaining clips.
2) Lift upward and remove molding.
Installation- Front Door:
1) Replace all retaining clips.
2) Install molding over top of retaining clips.
3) Align molding to door edges.
4) Snap molding down over retaining clips.
Removal-Rear Door:
1) Open rear door.
2) Remove acorn nut at rear dogleg.
3) Using a trim stick, gently lift up from bottom of cladding. Unsnap from retaining clips.
Installation-Rear Door:
1) Replace all retaining clips.
2) Install molding retainer into hole at dogleg.
3) Install molding over top of retaining clips.
4) Snap molding down over top of retaining clips.
5) Install acorn nut onto retainer.

BTW: I paid 150 for all of it including the hatch thats on the 98 now. He also threw in V8 Upcountry front coils, hood hinges, crossmember that he was tired of tripping over. Turns out he was a built XJ owner who rarely posts at NAXJA and his son has a real nice lifted ZJ as well. Made some new friends was a bonus..
It's possible yours were previously removed and glued on? Perhaps they broke these clips during disassembly?

I was thinking the same thing. If it had the posts it probably had the clips too. The glue strips saved the time of finding the clips IMO.
