Default Axle question

Got my build sheet today. Was wondering what my rear differential is, I never seen a thread about it.. Also is it a bad or good rear differential?

It's the weaker of the two versions of the 8.25. It's 27 spline and not a bad axle but I wouldn't feel comfortable with a tire over 33" on it. The shafts are actually smaller than the other option, the D35 turd, but the larger housing helps and it tends to last longer offroad than the D35.

Ok. Plan is to do budget lift with 32s, and when the motor goes I'm doing a kubota swap.

I don't know much about trucks or rwd vehicles in general. I've always been a small car guy since I drive 100 mile round trip to work, 4 times a week
